Qualifications:
- Must undergo a successful background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screening
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary training in a transportation field is desirable.
- Holds or is qualified to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a school bus endorsement and a passenger endorsement. A satisfactory driving record is a condition of initial and continued employment. Meets all bus driver minimum qualifications.
- Knowledge of Ohio Department of Education/Ohio Highway Patrol regulations related to student transportation.
- Ohio Pupil Transportation Operation and Safety Rules as written in Ohio Revised Code and the provisions of State and Federal Law including the new FMCSA ELDT Regulations and Federal Queries.
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- Computer skills and knowledge of transportation software (ex: Transfinder, Wayfinder, Stopfinder, SchoolDude) is required.
- Knowledge of dispatching is preferred.
- Additional qualifications as the Board of Education may require.
