Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA, DCS, and control systems. You will work closely with our engineers and clients to ensure smooth operation and support of automated systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SCADA, DCS, and control systems, including OASyS, IFIX, InTouch, Elipse, CIMPLICITY HMI, Factory Talk, and ClearSCADA.
- Perform regular diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and SCADA platforms.
- Support the integration of automation systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Assist in system upgrades, testing, and commissioning of control systems and SCADA applications.
- Provide on-site technical support to clients and assist with system optimizations and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with other technical teams as needed.
- Ensure that all work complies with company standards, industry best practices, and safety regulations.
- Assist in preparing documentation, including system configurations, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting reports.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with new technologies and industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automation Technician or in a similar role involving SCADA, DCS, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA platforms such as OASyS, IFIX, InTouch, Elipse, CIMPLICITY HMI, Factory Talk, and ClearSCADA.
- Familiarity with control systems design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems and SCADA applications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
- ISA.org certification (Certified Automation Professional - CAP) is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work on-site at client locations as needed.
- Willingness to travel for projects or on-call support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.50 - $26.50 per hour
