What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Captain position at CV S Westgate Center Restaurant LLC?
- Supervise banquet servers, bartenders, and support staff during events, ensuring proper setup, service, and breakdown.
- Communicate event details with the Banquet Manager, Culinary team, and other relevant departments.
- Ensure all banquet spaces are properly set up according to banquet event orders (BEOs), including table settings, décor, and AV needs.
- Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Interact with guests professionally, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Train and mentor banquet staff on service standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly handled and stored.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, liquor laws, and health regulations.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, documenting feedback and reporting issues to management.
- Assist with inventory control, ensuring proper storage and tracking of banquet supplies.

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs. (e.g., trays, tables, chairs, banquet equipment).
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping to set up and break down event spaces.
- Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to handle glassware, table settings, and fine dining service requirements.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments, including kitchens and outdoor event spaces.
- You must be able to hear and respond to guest and staff requests in a noisy environment.
