We are seeking a Continued Assistance Supervisor to oversee the operations of Housing Specialists and PBV staff within our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. Position Summary
The Continued Assistance Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring staff performance, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, and enhancing customer service for internal and external stakeholders. This role involves assigning caseloads, setting deadlines, implementing policy changes, and training staff to ensure program efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight & Compliance
-
Ensure program adherence to HUD regulations, coordinating annual and interim recertifications, move requests, lease and HAP contract enforcement.

Assist with implementing policy and procedural changes to enhance operational efficiency.

Monitor and approve termination recommendations for assistance or HAP contracts when necessary.

Conduct periodic quality control (QC) reviews and ensure corrections are completed.

Staff Supervision & Training

Assign workloads, set deadlines, and track progress for Housing Specialists and PBV staff.

Develop training materials and facilitate staff training programs.

Serve as the primary trainer for new hires and staff needing additional support, providing written progress updates to management.

Conduct weekly meetings with staff to discuss policy updates, address concerns, and ensure service excellence.

Perform annual performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

Customer Service & Problem Solving

Monitor customer service delivery, ensuring timely and professional responses to participant and landlord inquiries.

Conduct tenant briefings to explain HUD guidelines and program expectations.

Assist Housing Specialists with complex calculations, conflict resolution, and case management.

Recognize staff deficiencies and take disciplinary actions when warranted.

Reporting & Process Improvement

Utilize automated tracking systems to monitor productivity and program performance.

Analyze data, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and provide recommendations for program enhancements.

Meet with the Program Operations Manager weekly to review program updates and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in business, social work, or public administration preferred.

3-5 years of experience in Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), low-income tax credit, or similar housing programs.

3-5 years of client service experience, with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of HCV program regulations, lease enforcement, and compliance requirements.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word); experience with housing software is a plus.

Sound ethical judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Training & Certifications

Required: HCV Occupancy and Rent Calculation Certification (within 6 months of hire).
