Must have strong customer service and communication skills. Candidate must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
This position will serve as the first point of contact for all clients. Responsibilities will include greeting and directing visitors and providing callers with information such as company address, directions to office location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information. Receiving, sorting and forwarding incoming mail. Clerical duties will include data entry, departmental mailings, scheduling of appointments, maintaining files, mail distribution, and scanning of documents. Responsible for the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
The Jr. Housing Specialist will also assist Housing Specialists by servicing program participants in assisting low-income families and individuals, who may include homeless, elderly or disabled, to secure affordable housing and improved living conditions with the goal of an improved quality of life and self-sufficiency. The Jr. Housing Specialist will learn how to complete the ongoing, annual and interim examinations for the Housing Choice Voucher Program participants such as notifying participants of results, monitoring unit transfers and making annual rent adjustments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year relevant experience in a busy office setting.
- Able to work effectively under critical time deadlines and interruption, re-evaluate priorities and interact well with all levels of personnel.
- Must possess superior organizational and leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to operate necessary office equipment.
- Computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
