POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director, Renewables & Business Development will have responsibility for all aspects of the renewable fuels business and business development. The Director, Renewables & Bus Development will develop and implement business strategies and tactical plans that meet the Company’s ESG objectives & targets and growth objectives. The Director will utilize their knowledge of the Company, its products and services to look for new ways to improve product quality and build off of existing offerings. The Director will act as representatives of the Company to connect with clients, and investigate business leads.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field required; advanced degree in business preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 15 years of Refining Industry experience
- 10 years in strategy and operations
- Experience in leading teams
- Proven track record of successful revenue-driving partnerships, creative deal making and effective relationship management.
- Self-motivated to reach out and bring in new business
- Must have strong strategic planning and execution skills
- Ability to review complex data, evaluate the information, and draw logical conclusions.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English, oral and written required
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs
- Leadership skills to inspire, motivate and promote a results-oriented focus by others
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the Company’s renewable business and corporate development plans and the team’s execution of the plans
Renewables
- Responsibility in supporting activities for the establishment and execution of the long-term strategic goals related to renewable fuels
- Oversee and assist in the development of renewable fuels project scopes of work
- Assist in project budgeting and design
- Supporting internal business case justifications and economic evaluation
- Develop and produce internal and external communications and presentation
- Coordinate internal alignment with various teams across the Company including Executive Management, Operations, Marketing, Communications, EHS&S, Legal and F&A
Corporate Development
- Cultivate new and existing strategic relationships to identify growth opportunities
- Utilize market knowledge, and internal/external data sources to consultatively identify promising new opportunities; assess market dislocation, identify unmet market needs, and lead complex prospect opportunities with the Executive team.
- Serve as the relationship manager for several key clients; and formulate strategies with clients to identify focus areas, and future opportunities for increased partnership.
- Oversee and own Company’s involvement in local networking/professional association events.
