Role and Responsibilities:
As a Food Service Worker, you'll help keep our dining area clean and safe.
- Work with alongside a team that primarily consists of adults with disabilities and/or disabling conditions.
- Set up and take down drink stations, making sure they are always stocked.
- Clean and sanitize dining tables, and keep dessert cases filled.
- Help set up and serve meals in the serving area.
- Mop floors to keep them clean and safe.
- Vacuum carpeted areas regularly.
- Dust furniture and fixtures to keep the place tidy.
- Clean and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, and sinks.
- Keep mirrors clean.
- Empty trash cans and take garbage outside for disposal.
- Clean doors and windows to make a good impression.
- Follow safety rules to keep everyone safe.
Qualifications:
- Work well with others and be supportive.
- Be willing to learn new tasks.
- Follow safety rules and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- No experience needed
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry heavy items.
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and manual dexterity required for food preparation.
- Fast-paced movements and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures in kitchen and storage areas.
- Interaction with cleaning chemicals, with proper safety precautions.
- Noise from kitchen equipment and customer traffic.
- Working in close proximity to others in a team environment.
- Repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
