Role and Responsibilities:
As a Mess Attendant, you'll help keep our dining area clean and safe.
- Work with alongside a team that primarily consists of adults with disabilities and/or disabling conditions.
- Set up and take down drink stations, making sure they are always stocked.
- Clean and sanitize dining tables, and keep dessert cases filled.
- Help set up and serve meals in the serving area.
- Mop floors to keep them clean and safe.
- Vacuum carpeted areas regularly.
- Dust furniture and fixtures to keep the place tidy.
- Clean and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, and sinks.
- Keep mirrors clean.
- Empty trash cans and take garbage outside for disposal.
- Clean doors and windows to make a good impression.
- Follow safety rules to keep everyone safe.
Requirements:
- No experience, No Problem.
Physical Demands:
- Standing for long periods
- Lifting and carrying heavy items
- Bending, reaching, and squatting
- Manual dexterity for food preparation
- Fast-paced movements and multitasking
- Reasonable accommodations can be provided
Environmental Demands:
- Hot and cold temperatures (kitchen and storage areas)
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Noise from kitchen equipment and customer traffic
- Working in close proximity to others
- Repetitive tasks
