Algorithmic Trader

An exciting opportunity to a Global Top10 Hedge fund has come live and they are currently seeking Systematic Trader to join the New York office.

Managing the daily execution of our quantitative systematic trading tactics involves making real-time judgments to mitigate risk, adapting to evolving market dynamics, responding to observed trading patterns, and addressing a wide range of alerts from our advanced monitoring system. Collaboration with the firm's strategy creators and technology experts is crucial to enhance our trading platform and capitalize on business prospects effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with developers, researchers, and technology teams to manage the daily operation of our systematic trading platform.
• Facilitate business growth by developing a deep understanding of market microstructure, products, regulations, and our trading platform (including new regions/venues/products), and defining new technology requirements.
• Drive the continual improvement of our world-class trading platform through design and implementation.
• Identify trends in market and strategy performance metrics to inform actionable insights.
• Construct and execute trading playbooks to navigate macro event risks effectively.
• Take ownership of risk management protections and exercise authority over trading activities.

Preferred Experience:

• Completion of a Bachelor's program in STEM, Finance, Economics, or Business at a prestigious institution
• Proficient in problem-solving and strategic decision-making, capable of maintaining a holistic perspective to make well-informed and justifiable decisions within a dynamic trading setting.
• Previous involvement in electronic trading
• Attention to detail with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven self-initiator, possessing the determination and proactive mindset to acquire new knowledge and navigate through changes to achieve desired outcomes.
