Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting department in various administrative tasks. This role requires strong computer literacy and proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records and databases with accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is recorded correctly.
- Maintain W-9 and Certificate of Insurance on vendors and subcontractors.
- Support office management tasks as needed, including clerical duties.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Provide assistance as a personal assistant to the accounting team when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is desirable.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable.
- Ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous experience in office management or clerical roles is beneficial.
