What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Employment Services position at CWTC - Community Workshop and Training Center, Inc.?
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: The Coordinator of Employment Services is responsible for coordinating consumer services related to community employment and managing a caseload of individuals seeking community employment. Case load duties include developing employment plans/ISPs, maintaining consumer files and making employer contacts through Community Employment Services. Employer contacts are designed to learn about the needs of the business, describe CWTC’s Community Employment program, supports offered by the program and describe consumers strengths that are relevant to the position. This position will provide program reports on case load to the Director of Vocational Services regarding consumer status of those entering the program, engaged in employment readiness training, seeking employment and those discharged. Responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with CWTC’s mission, policies, and in a manner that supports individuals with disabilities. All employees are required to attend mandated training sessions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Associate degree or High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in the field 2. Able to communicate and write effectively 3. Valid drivers’ license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Conduct job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the people being served through CWTC Community Employment program.
2. Engage consumers and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other non-disabled workers.
3. Maintain case load of consumers seeking community employment.
4. Coordinate with DRS staff regarding the implementation of funded services.
5. Participate in IDT Career planning sessions with local schools to gain knowledge of consumer’s needs
and talents.
6. Coordinate an employer network.
7. Assist in development of employer training program.
OTHER DUTIES: 1. Assist with instructional programming following established Employment Readiness curriculum as needed. 2. Perform other tasks, not inconsistent with qualifications or regular duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical requirements include driving, walking, bending, lifting up to 20 pounds, and working in an office environment. Interpersonal requirements include speaking with the public as a representative of CWTC and the Community Employment Program.
RELATED CONDITION: All employees are responsible for reporting any information, however acquired, pertaining to possible abuse or neglect of consumers to the Director of Quality Improvement, the Safety Director, or the Executive Director.
