Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-oriented Front Desk Attendant to join our seasonal boutique hotel team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, checking in and out guests, managing reservations, and assisting with guest requests. You will play a key role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and smooth stay in our charming, boutique hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, check them in efficiently, and provide them with all necessary information about their stay. Check guests out at the end of their stay and handle payments.
- Reservations: Manage reservations, including booking rooms, modifying existing reservations, and ensuring accurate room assignments.
- Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, provide local recommendations, assist with special requests, and ensure their overall satisfaction during their stay.
- Phone and Email Communication: Handle phone calls and emails, providing information about hotel services, answering questions, and processing reservations.
- Concierge Services: Assist guests with booking transportation, restaurant reservations, or providing information about local attractions and events.
- Maintain Front Desk Area: Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming at all times.
- Handle Guest Concerns: Resolve guest issues or complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating to management as needed.
- Payments and Billing: Process payments and handle transactions using Cloudbeds, ensuring accuracy and security of guest information.
- Check-In Procedures: Provide guests with room keys, explain hotel amenities, and provide detailed instructions for room access and other services.
- Security and Safety: Monitor hotel security, ensure guest privacy, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as guest registrations, report preparation, and maintaining guest logs.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication.
- Other Duties: Assist with any additional tasks as required to ensure guest satisfaction and the overall operation of the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk operations is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and patience.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including experience with hotel management software (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
