We are looking for an experienced Python Software Developer who will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of our proprietary platforms and will be instrumental in delivering technology solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, proficient in Python, AWS (Cloud Computing) and Distributed Systems.

Contribute to all aspects of application development including functional & technical specifications, design, development & production support. Ensure high quality of deliverables while complying with development best practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate and collaborate with the teams to design & deliver innovative and high-quality solutions
• Constantly improve the development life cycle and code quality
• Demonstrate an ability to analyze complex technical problems, you will be required to make sound technical decisions in a proactive and self-directed manner with responsibility across all phases of the technology life cycle.
• Provide day-to-day support for the applications
• Responsible for the quality of your own code
• Systems development on a mature, modern codebase written in C and/or Python
• Test, evaluate & recommend technologies to improve our overall solutions

Requirements, Skills & Experience:

• Python, C /C#/C/Linux tooling
• Experience with Mongo or NoSQL databases a plus
• Experience with writing low latency single and concurrent threaded applications
• Exposure to test-driven development
• Knowledge of Python & Bash for scripting
• Must be a true computer scientist and avid software engineer with a passion for self-learning
• Optional exposure to kernel tuning
• Proficiency in Git for code versioning
• Solid understanding of TCP standards & network protocols
• Understanding of the C development life cycle
• Willingness to learn new technologies & adopt the mindset of an agnostic problem solver based on significant expertise in computer science fundamentals

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have 2 year experience with SQL, or a comparable relational database
• Must have 3 years of relevant industry experience with Python and/or C /C#/C
• Must have 3 years professional experience as a Software Developer

Educational requirements include a high school diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.

Experience requirements include a minimum of three years working as a system administrator or equivalent along with knowledge of network and server systems.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
