Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with deep experience in SQL, Python, and Talend, along with FIS banking systems exposure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, ETL pipelines, and data quality frameworks, specifically within the banking or financial services domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ETL workflows using Talend.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources.
Develop Python scripts for data manipulation, transformation, and validation.
Work with FIS banking platforms to extract and process financial data.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems.
Optimize existing data processes and improve overall pipeline performance.
Document technical solutions, data flow diagrams, and mapping specifications.
Participate in data governance, data quality initiatives, and compliance standards.
Required Skills:
8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in SQL (complex joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with Python for scripting and automation.
Strong experience with Talend ETL (Open Studio or Talend Data Integration).
Mandatory experience working with FIS banking systems or applications (e.g., FIS Profile, FIS Core Banking, etc.).
Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration patterns.
Solid understanding of financial data and banking operations.
Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) is a plus.
Knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking sector (e.g., Basel, CCAR) is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
