Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Develop and present architectural designs that align with client goals and local regulations.
- Oversee all aspects of project development, from conceptual design to construction administration, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and communicating design solutions clearly.
- Ensure all architectural designs comply with local jurisdictions, California residential building codes, zoning laws, and industry standards.
- Utilize Revit, AutoDesk Build, BuilderTrend, and Microsoft Teams for design, documentation, and coordination.
- Manage designers and drafters, coordinate with engineers, and collaborate with landscape architects and construction teams.
- Integrate sustainable design practices and innovative technologies/materials into architectural solutions.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years in residential architectural design and project management.
- An architect license (preferred) or be actively pursuing licensure.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and construction standards.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and navigate job sites, including climbing stairs.
- Capable of distinguishing colors for design accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Strong ability to adapt to shifting project demands and client expectations.
