We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Specification Writer to develop comprehensive specifications for architectural projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that project documentation meets industry standards and effectively communicates design intent to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write architectural specifications in accordance with CSI formatting and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather information and produce accurate specifications.
- Review and approve shop drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest industry standards, codes, and best practices related to architectural specifications.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of project manuals and technical documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert input on specification-related queries and concerns.
- Proven experience in architectural technical specifications writing.
- Strong knowledge of CSI Specifications and Divisions 1-14.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Certification as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) is preferred.
- Ability to review and approve shop drawings effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Base salary: $60k - 120k - large range depending on years of experience
