The ideal candidate will work closely with the Controller to oversee the accounting department and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller in managing all accounting functions and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support the budget preparation process and monitor departmental budgets.
- Coordinate and assist with audits, both internal and external, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain cash flow management.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software, including Epicor, to streamline operations.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
