Assistant Estimator

Position Overview

The Assistant Estimator will support the estimating team by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, preparing detailed estimates, and helping ensure project budgets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for various construction projects.
• Analyze project specifications and blueprints to create accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators to review bid requirements and project scope.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and On-Screen Takeoff software to compile and present data effectively.
• Research and evaluate construction materials and methods to determine costs.
• Assist in the preparation of construction schedules and financial budgets.
• Support the team in maintaining accurate records of estimates and revisions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and On-Screen Takeoff software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Familiarity with construction schedules and budgeting processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
