This role is crucial for providing assurance services to government and non-profit organizations, and will involve leading audit teams, planning and executing audits, and delivering high-quality reports to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development.
- Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring they are clear, concise, and meet client expectations.
- Manage client relationships, providing exceptional service and maintaining open communication throughout the audit process.
- Identify areas for improving efficiency and effectiveness within audit processes and implement necessary changes.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or assurance services, preferably with a focus on government and non-profit sectors.
- Strong knowledge of audit standards and regulations.
- Proficient in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
