The Bridge Design Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and execution of bridge construction projects. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations while delivering high-quality designs that meet client and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead bridge design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct structural analysis and design for various bridge types, adhering to DOT and AASHTO standards.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and clients.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain documentation for all project-related discussions and decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5 years of experience in bridge design and project management.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and standards for transportation projects.
- Proficiency in structural bridge design software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and AREMA guidelines is preferred.
