Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Administrator/Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing CAD systems, facilitating design processes, and ensuring the efficiency of product development through effective use of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Management of FERNO's Global PDM Vault and basic understanding of hardware and software compatibility requirements to do so
- Develop and implement CAD standards and best practices to improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to create and modify product designs.
- Maintain product data management and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to CAD and design software.
- Experience with BOM structuring, modeling configurations, and end item assembly drawings containing in excess of 500 components
- Develop and refine concepts for new product design through optimal technology selection to meet or exceed commercial requirements; exposure to and/or basic understanding of principles associated with electro-mechanical/hydraulic devices
- Will require a flexible schedule across multiple international time zones, including occasional evening and weekend work
- Proven experience as a CAD Administrator or Design Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
- Familiarity with CAD administration and Information Technology concepts.
- Experience in product development and design engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Meets cognitive demands to include visual discrimination/memory, auditory discrimination/memory reading ability, independent decision making and retention of specific knowledge.
