CAD Designer - Precast Concrete, Structural Steel

Based out of South West Louisiana, we are a long-standing, national leader in technology, design flexibility, and quality when it comes to building Precast Steel and Concrete buildings! We offer an array of services for Commercial and Industrial sectors - our portfolio consists of buildings such as Emergency Response and Motor Control Centers, Warehouses, Operators Shelters, Control Rooms, Maintenance Shops, etc.

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer/Draftsman in Lake Charles with expertise in precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete foundations, and structural steel miscellaneous structures. This person should have extensive experience in CAD drafting and 3D modeling, a strong understanding of construction/MEP drawings, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings of precast concrete components and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all designs and drawings.
• Create and maintain accurate bills of materials for precast concrete projects.
• Utilize 3D modeling software to visualize and present design concepts effectively.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members and clients.
• Provide technical support and expertise during the construction phase of projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer, specifically in reinforced concrete design
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, structural steel, and MEP systems
• Familiarity with 3D modeling techniques and software
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
