We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and providing detailed takeoffs based on scope of work and design schedules. This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial construction projects including takeoffs and pricing analysis.
- Review project plans and specifications to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to define project scope and requirements.
- Analyze historical data and current market trends to inform pricing strategies.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the construction process.
- 3 Years' proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the commercial sector.
- Experience with big box, tilt wall, distribution centers, warehouses, or light industrial projects is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Experience with takeoffs, estimating software, and bid preparation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- $80,000 - $120,000 base salary depending on experience
