Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Oversee and/or perform all aspects of work from point of sale to billing, as required.
- Oversees the preparation and final approval of project plans.
- Conducts or acquires cost analysis for development projects; prepares or delegates preparation of schedule of project completion dates.
- Establishes and implements the strategic direction of the company's construction and development initiatives.
- Conducts and/or reviews cost analysis by assessing material, labor, and overhead costs incurred in the production and finished products.
- Ensures that operating costs do not exceed the proposed budget.
- Evaluates cost effectiveness of and projects.
- Gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for current or proposed projects.
- Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research
- Estimates the cost of new and proposed projects and services in the assigned departments, areas, or projects.
- Oversight and coordination of inventory relating to service work, project contracts, the warehouse, shop, and fleet, as required.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies and systems to improve organizational processes and decision-making.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements construction and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.
- Works with the management team to establish and administer the department's budget.
- Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the organization; coordinates and implements contractors work, and resolves any disputes over labor, scheduling, or payments.
- Maintains relationships between the organization and outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the project management/development tracking tool.
- Receives, organizes, and maintains all construction documents.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- 8 years of commercial roofing experience or an equivalent market
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and/or construction project management software
- Some Travel will be required as dictated by projects/customers
