Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing bids, and managing pre-construction activities. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are financially viable and completed within budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Manage the bid process, including bid analysis and submission
- Conduct takeoffs and material quantity assessments
- Oversee RFI management and communication with stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment of budget and project scope
- Maintain and manage supplier directory for sourcing materials
- Support budget management throughout the project lifecycle
- Utilize Procore software for project management and reporting
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Takeoff experience
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools, particularly Procore
- Expertise in pre-construction processes and bid management
- Familiarity with RFI management and construction documentation
- Solid understanding of budget management principles
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
