Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics and automation, with expertise in electrical systems and controls design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems for automated processes
• Develop and maintain electrical diagrams and schematics
• Perform root cause analysis for system failures
• Monitor and optimize existing control systems
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on device placement and integration
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical equipment and controls
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials for control systems
• Ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD Electrical, RSLogix, and FactoryTalk for system design and integration
• Conduct system integration testing and commissioning of new equipment
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of robotics and automation technology
• Proficiency in control systems design and implementation
• Experience with HMI, PLC programming, and monitoring systems
• Familiarity with electrical systems, including power and motors
• Skilled in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Understanding of fluid dynamics and electrical designs
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
