Position Overview
The Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes within the organization. This role aims to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead the quality team in conducting audits and assessments of manufacturing processes and raw materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and KPIs that drive performance improvement.
- Oversee the investigation of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Develop training programs for staff on quality standards and best practices in quality management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the manufacturing sector - Building Materials and/or Wood MFG experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and processes, particularly in the building materials industry.
- Proven experience in implementing Six Sigma and Lean methodologies for process improvement.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
