As a Quality Assurance Director, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining product excellence and regulation adherence across varied production sites. You will spearhead the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards and oversee ERP integrations, ensuring the integrity of our products and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Located in Birmingham, AL, this role involves travel to different company sites strategically.
Key Duties Include:
- Revise Quality Systems Manual in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Champion the ERP system’s rollout and enhancement.
- Execute thorough inspections to ensure product compliance.
- Orchestrate plant audits and apply ISO-procedures rigorously.
- Decipher KPIs to pinpoint and rectify quality deviations.
- Interface with teams and clients about quality-related matters.
- Sanction Certificates of Conformance and manage complaint resolutions.
- Guide the Quality Control Supervisor and Technicians effectively.
- Direct raw material assessments and incoming quality checks.
- Deliver technical support and collaborate with sales for product advancement.
- Ensure all devices are correctly calibrated and operational.
- Collaborate on R&D trials and evaluate new products.
- Train teams for safe operation compliance.
- Stand in for Quality Technicians when required.
Essential Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
- Eight years' experience in quality management within manufacturing.
- Five years' experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Strong aptitude in analytics and precise measurement.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-resolution skills.
- Holder of a valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Competence in managing a team of up to six members.
Preferred Experience:
- Operational support across various plant locations.
- ERP systems familiarity and embedding strategies.
- Government contracting experience.
- Exposure to customer technical support and complaint handling.
- Aptness to travel as per business needs.
