Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Draft and file legal documents such as motions and briefs
- Conduct depositions and prepare clients for court appearances
- Advise clients on legal issues related to divorce, custody, and marital matters
- Negotiate settlements and pleadings on behalf of clients
- Research and analyze case law to support legal arguments
- Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active state bar license
- Experience in family law, particularly in divorce and custody cases
- Strong skills in drafting legal documents, including motions and briefs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct depositions and represent clients effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
