Position Overview
The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate training programs for employees on EHS practices, OSHA regulations, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies such as EPA and OSHA during inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and training sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Certification in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) or similar is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and influence employees.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
