Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and technical documents to prepare cost estimates for control system projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
- Conduct cost analysis and develop pricing strategies for various control system components and services.
- Prepare detailed proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with client requirements and technical specifications.
- Utilize knowledge of electrical engineering and PLC programming to assess project complexities and associated costs.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate terms to optimize project costs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and competitive practices to enhance estimating processes.
- Proven experience in controls estimation or a similar role within the automation industry.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and process control principles.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems, specifically Allen Bradley.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with clients and suppliers.
