Electrical Lead/Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead/Estimator to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, leading project teams, and ensuring that electrical installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects including material, labor, and overhead costs
- Lead project teams in the execution of electrical contracts
- Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to create accurate estimates
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Utilize AutoCAD and Trimble software for project design and planning
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with project schedules
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical installations
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation processes
- Experience with project management and leading teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble software
- Familiarity with RS Means for cost estimating
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
