This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems and commercial construction practices to effectively prepare bids and ensure project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct site assessments to gather relevant information for bid preparation.
- Prepare detailed bids, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate contracts.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential cost impacts and risks associated with projects.
- Provide support during the project management phase to ensure estimates align with actual costs.
- Maintain an organized database of historical cost data and update pricing models as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for electrical and commercial construction projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and commercial construction processes.
- Experience with cost analysis, bid preparation, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Salary: $90K - $150K
