Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to identify the scope of work and materials needed.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment based on project requirements.
- Utilize estimation software such as Sage Timberline, Exactimate, and On-Screen Takeoff to compile and analyze data.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
- Conduct market research to evaluate the cost of labor, materials, and rental or leased equipment.
- Prepare and present estimates to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Update and maintain estimating databases and historical cost data for future reference.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Sage Timberline, Exactimate, and On-Screen Takeoff.
- Strong understanding of labor costs and the ability to perform labor estimates.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
