Position Overview

We are are a multi-disciplinary design firm that has been taking a holistic approach to architectural and construction collaboration for over 100 years of success. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Survey Crew Chief to lead our construction and boundary surveying team, to oversee schedules of instrument and rod teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data, and mentoring junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field survey crews in the execution of various surveys including topographic, ALTA, and construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all surveying activities.
• Conduct measurements and collect data using GPS and other surveying equipment.
• Review and verify survey data for accuracy and quality before submission.
• Mentor and train junior survey staff on field procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Manage field resources and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4 years in field surveying with a focus on topographic surveys, ALTA, and construction surveying.
• Strong knowledge of GPS technology and its application in surveying.
• Experience in leading a survey crew and overseeing field operations.
• Familiarity with topographic boundary and land, construction surveying.
• Ability to work in various field conditions and manage safety protocols effectively.
• Proficient with surveying equipment and electronic field data collection methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and firm Leadership
