Responsibilities
- Supervise the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple subsidiaries, consolidating reports for executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans across business units.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance across all industries within the company.
- Ensure proper cost allocation and financial tracking for intercompany transactions.
- Manage cash flow and oversee reconciliation processes for all accounts.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and filings.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software solutions to streamline financial processes.
- Develop and optimize financial workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on new systems and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
- Collaborate with executives, operations, and department heads to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-industry or holding company environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to financial management.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
