Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. This role is crucial in managing the finance team, developing financial strategies, and implementing robust accounting policies to support our company's growth and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the financial budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Implement and maintain financial controls in accordance with SOX compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role.
- CPA is strongly preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems; experience with Sage and Workday is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with international accounting standards and practices is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
