Job Title: EH&S Coordinator (Dairy Manufacturing)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the implementation of environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Develop and Implement EHS Policies and Procedures:
- Work closely with management to develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, permits, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant safety & environmental regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Training and Education:
- Coordinate and conduct employee training programs on safety procedures, hazard communication, emergency response, and other relevant topics.
Environmental Management:
- Manage environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air emissions, wastewater treatment, and hazardous materials handling.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification:
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Emergency Preparedness and Response:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire prevention, and spill containment.
Sustainability:
- Support the promotion of workplace sustainability initiatives by effectively engaging with leadership and team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental protection, occupational safety, and health.
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Health, or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of safety in a facilities or production maintenance environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with EHS management systems/software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, conduct root cause analysis, and develop effective solutions.
