Heavy Civil Project Manager

Position Overview

The Heavy Civil Project Manager will oversee and manage large-scale construction projects with a focus on civil infrastructure. The role is crucial for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also maintaining safety protocols and compliance with regulations. Project scope will include (but is not limited to): foundation drilling, substation construction, transmission lines, installation of utilities, and excavation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for heavy civil construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure project compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and timelines.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct site visits to ensure project adherence to design and specifications.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Certification in project management (PMP) is a plus.
