In-House Insurance Defense Attorney
Location : Roseville, Fresno, or Woodland Hills, CA
Compensation : $175,000 - $200,000 Base Salary (Depending on level of experience) Bonuses PTO / 401k Matching and other comprehensive benefits
About Us : Join our In-House Counsel team at our Nationally awarded Insurance Company, where we focus on civil litigation arising from our P&C (Agribusiness) division. As a part of our dynamic legal team, we're offering a hybrid work schedule that provides flexibility to work from home on select days according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership.
Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced In-House Insurance Defense Attorney to handle a portfolio of insurance defense matters, including civil personal injury, auto accident, and premises liability claims. This role involves all phases of pre-litigation and litigation activity and advising the company on legal issues and strategy considerations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Handle all phases of pre-litigation and litigation on insurance defense matters
- Conduct fact and expert investigation and analysis, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Provide legal advice and strategic input on litigated and non-litigated insurance defense matters
- Communicate professionally and effectively in all formats
- Utilize technology and collaborate with support staff for efficient case management
- Stay aware of and strategically address changes in law, technology, and industry trends
- Provide sound opinions on case valuations and communicate updates promptly
- Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance
- Maintain professional and appropriate demeanor
