We are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and demonstration of multi-INT sensor framework (Joint Capabilities Integration & Development (JICD) Common Services).
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive vendor delivered source code and containerized components, maintain code libraries, inspect/compile code in lab, build and maintain demonstration systems, and integrate with external systems (sensors, other software)
- Integrate and maintain software solutions in a Linux environment
- Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to enhance system performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with Multi-INT sensors to ensure optimal data integration and processing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar technical discipline
- ~15 years experience in Software development (Python, Java, C )
- ~ Linux System Administrator experience: data center management, local area networks, and serving static, dynamic and streaming content over the web
- ~ Ability to build a Linux system from scratch, take delivery of Docker containers from software developers, and install/configure them (with reach-back support to developers if needed)
- ~ Familiarity with Docker to building and deploying containerized apps
- ~ Lab/Field Demo/experimentation support
- ~ Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
- ~ Linux CE certified (plus)
