Title: Insurance Defense Attorney (NY Bar Admission Required)
Location: Cedar Grove, NJ 07009
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 Bonus
Founded in 2017 by a New Jersey super lawyer & a previous state senator we are a 100 employee mid-sized law firm whose headcount has increased by 21% over the past 2 years. We provide a variety of services including dispute resolution, business divorce, commercial litigation, environmental, trusts & estates, litigation and product/professional liability. We cater most commonly to the construction, real estate, cannabis, financial services, healthcare & government clients across the US. Our firm is targeting to hire an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney that would report to our Cedar Grove office 3X a week initially but who could also head into NYC for clients.

Our Target Candidate's Abilities
- Someone familiar with insurance defense. There's a lot of commercial but we're targeting someone who is content with doing mainly insurance
- Wide range - construction bodily injury & property damage claims, typical GL, slip/fall auto accident, product liability claims etc
- Minimum 170 hours per month - Monthly billing bonus for every hour per month over 180 plus an end of year bonus
- A minimum biller would probably get over $10k-$15k at the end of the year. A person who bills more can significantly increase their compensation. End of year can get in the $20k-$30k range or possibly more if billing is high.
- Additionally, monthly billing can add $1k-$2k per month minimum on gross pay depending on productivity. These monthly billing bonuses are paid monthly in addition to EOY bonuses
- Bachelors in Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Business or related field ideal
- Juris Doctor from ABA accredited institution w/ successful bar exam completion
- 3-7 years of experience as an attorney w/ emphasis on insurance defense
- New York Bar Admissions
- Ability to acquire new clients & service current business portfolio
- Motions, depositions & carrier reporting experience ideal
