Position Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the laboratory operations associated with wastewater treatment processes. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains quality control, and supervises laboratory personnel to ensure effective wastewater analysis and treatment methodologies are implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate lab personnel in daily operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct and oversee testing of wastewater samples to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is functioning properly, conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Implement quality control processes and ensure accuracy in lab results and reporting.
- Train and mentor lab staff on standard operating procedures and best practices in wastewater analysis.
- Prepare reports on lab activities, test results, and compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with treatment plant staff to optimize wastewater treatment processes based on lab findings.
- Class K Water Treatment Certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in wastewater treatment or environmental testing.
- Familiarity with ISO standards including ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 and 5S methodology is a plus.
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices related to laboratory equipment is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Salary : $70,000 - $120,000
