The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems for medical equipment and support structures. This role involves collaboration across various departments to ensure product performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for medical devices and patient support structures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful new product introductions (NPI) and manufacturing optimization.
- Conduct design history documentation and maintain compliance with quality system regulations.
- Perform testing methods and data collection to assess product performance and reliability.
- Utilize CAD software, primarily SolidWorks, for mechanical design and product innovation.
- Design and integrate electro-mechanical systems, including motors, couplings, and bearings.
- Oversee vendor selection and provide technical input for sustaining engineering projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety procedures are followed in all engineering practices.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts across manufacturing operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through verbal and written channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing and design.
- Proficient in CAD software, especially SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical design, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with quality system regulations such as UL508A and OSHA standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to collect and analyze data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with project management and cross-functional team collaboration.

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
