Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate insurance applications and assess risks related to marine operations.
- Underwrite marine insurance policies, including cargo, inland marine, and ocean coverage.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Monitor and analyze marine claims to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers to foster business growth.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of marine underwriting experience.
- Proven experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in marine insurance.
- Familiarity with marine, cargo, and inland marine insurance products.
- CPCU or other designations are a plus.
- Competitive Base Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 (DOE) Bonus
