The Plant Manager oversees all operations within the plant, ensuring efficient production processes, safety compliance, and adherence to quality standards. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, managing resources, and optimizing production to meet the demands of the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the plant to ensure production efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Implement and maintain safety programs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Lead and mentor plant staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Maintain equipment and machinery, ensuring regular maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal operation of electrical gear, compressors, flares, and thermal oxidizers.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring availability for production processes.
- Oversee environmental compliance related to biogas, natural gas production, and oil production activities.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in plant management or operations within the Oil and Gas Industry or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of renewable natural gas, biogas production, and oil production processes.
- Experience with PLC systems and automated packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with SQF standards and lean manufacturing practices.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
