We are in the Oil and Gas industry located in Houston and are looking for an experience PLC Programmer to join the team! As a PLC Specialist you will be working remotely as well as travelling in the field to various oil rigs domestic and globally. You will be programming in various PLC and HMI software according to each site. This position will report to the Drilling Rig Solutions Manager, has a base salary plus bonus structure, and will require up to 50% domestic/global travel.

Key Reponsibilities
- Develop control systems for drilling rigs
- Deploy and commission PLC based control systems on drilling rigs globally and domestic
- Field service travel to drilling rig sites -50% travel
- Provide technical support to on-site staff and end users
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and ensure best practice
- Deploy remote access commucations systems
- Maintain composure and communicate with internal and external customers during various oil rig scenarios
- Discuss design specifications and user requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or similar field
- 5 years of professional PLC programming experience
- Able to travel up to 50% field work nationwide in the U.S. & globally
- Experience with 1 or more PLC programming such as Siemens TIA Portal, Omron CX- One, Allen-Bradley Rockwell Studio 5000, and/or GE Proficy
- Experience with HMI software applications
- Experience or familiarity with SCRs, VFDs, MCCs control systems
- Experience within the Oil/Gas/Energy or industrial industries
- Previous field service engineering
- Previous experience with oil drilling/rig solutions
