Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction process including estimation, budgeting, and planning for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary project information and specifications.
- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates using Timberline and other estimating software.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies during the preconstruction phase.
- Review contract documents and drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Participate in client meetings to present proposals and project estimates, and to answer any questions regarding the construction process.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating on commercial projects.
- Proficiency with Timberline or similar estimating software.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and contract terms.
- Familiarity with conceptual estimating, negotiated work, and hard bid.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- LEED certification is a PLUS
- Salary 90-120k (depends on experience)
