Position Overview

The Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical/HVAC is responsible for overseeing all preconstruction activities related to mechanical and HVAC projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project feasibility, developing accurate estimates, and contributing to business development efforts in the HVAC sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction phase of mechanical and HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
• Develop and manage project estimates, budgets, and schedules, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams to identify project requirements and constraints.
• Conduct market research to identify potential business development opportunities and support sales efforts in the HVAC sector.
• Utilize Trimble software for project estimation and planning, ensuring precision in all deliverables.
• Prepare and present proposals, bids, and presentations to clients, showcasing the company's capabilities and value proposition.
• Coordinate and facilitate preconstruction meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management, mechanical contracting, or HVAC projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and building construction processes.
• Proficiency in Trimble software or similar estimating tools.
• Demonstrated business development and sales abilities within the construction industry, particularly in HVAC.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on project efficiency and cost management.
