Location: Chicago, Illinois

Salary: $100,000 - $128,000 Bonus Travel Reimbursement

Must Have Experience In The Packaging Industry.

What You Will Be Doing

• Determine customer specific needs and prepare presentations of product/system designs.
• Sell across multiple platforms: flexibles, rigid containers and equipment automation.
• Optimize barrier properties of film structures to meet/exceed customer expectations.
• Understand all facets of primary packaging and related equipment.
• Train the sales team on packaging equipment and consumables.
• Articulate technical details of packaging manufacturing processes. (Extrusion, lamination, thermoforming, high-end printing)
• Develop and present technical product presentations and quotations to high-level customer managers.
• Supervise acquisition, ordering, delivery, installation and start-up of product orders.
• Plan and target accounts, markets, industries or geographic activities.
• Identify and qualify new packaging equipment and vendors with state-of-the-art technology.
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Bachelor's Degree in packaging, engineering, business, or a related field. (Master's is a plus)
• 3 Years of experience in the consumable packaging industry specializing in materials and / or equipment.
• Strong knowledge of flexible packaging, structures and the food market.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills. (written, verbal, in-person, and remote)
• Demonstrated competencies in commercial acumen, contracting, process design, problem-solving, supplier relationship management, negotiations, leadership and teamwork.
